In and around the city of Falun there are many appreciated sites and attractions. The World Heritage area, around the copper mine in Falun, is full of life all year around.

The Lake Runn’s northern islands are mostly covered with pine trees, most of them younger than 100 years, but there are  a few trees that are up to 300 years old! The mammals seen on the islands are fox, deer, hare, beaver and mink. They also host a rich bird life.

At the home of painter Carl Larsson you will experience stepping in to history, feeling the fantastic atmosphere of “little Hyttnäs” as it’s called.
