A Velodrome is a slightly tilted oval track, used for practice and competition cycling. Track cycling is one of the oldest forms of competition in cycling and the last Velodrome, built in Sweden, was the one for the Stockholm Olympics back in 1912. It was torn down at the end of 1920. Falun now offers the only arena in Sweden. Track cycling is a party, fast and furious in combination with raw centrifugal force. |
